2008 Knowledge Bowl:

San Miguel Power Association would like to thank all the volunteers, teachers, parents, coaches and most of all the students who participated in the 13th Annual “Power of Knowledge” Tournament.  Thanks to the West End Public School District for use of the wonderful facilities at the Naturita Elementary School. We would like to especially thank the SMPA employees who volunteered their time help out, Gaye Lynn Zunich, Debbie Wytulka and their students for providing the wonderful food, and Debbie Wytulka and Topp Dropp Ink at the Nucla High School who screen printed the awesome sweatshirts! I would especially like to thank Tom Johnson and his “Sunshine Mountain Traveler”. Tom is the coordinator for the Ridgway High School’s Solar Race Car team.  They have the only fully functioning solar race car in Colorado. They are currently raising funds to race in Dallas Texas this summer. Any help to his great program would be appreciated!
We had a great time this year!  The students amazed us all with their academic skills!  The following are the final results for the tournament:
